Superbon is planning for a five-round fight against Tawanchai. More than a year removed from their instant classic at ONE Friday Fights 46, Superbon and Tawanchai will run it back this Friday when ONE Championship heads to the Impact Arena in Bangkok for a massive ONE 170 card.

The event will feature three massive title matchups, none bigger than the sequel scrap between Tawanchai, who puts his ONE featherweight Muay Thai world championship on the line, against Superbon in the evening's main event.

The first time around, Tawanchai escaped with his 26 pounds of gold intact, snatching a majority decision win over the current undisputed featherweight kickboxing king.

This time, Superbon expects another closely contested battle that will likely go the distance.

"The level that Tawanchai and I are in is considered a high one," Superbon told ONE Championship in a recent interview. "Knocking one another out is quite hard because we both are super cautious. My plan is to be able to fight five rounds first."

Tawanchai teases a game-plan change ahead of ONE 170 showdown with Supebon

Despite already owning a victory over Superbon, Tawanchai plans on delivering a far better performance than the one he turned in against the kickboxer in Dec. 2023.

Offering some insight into his game plan during the ONE 170 media day, Tawanchai suggested that he may choose to change up his style, but will ultimately decide mid-fight which route he plans to go to get another big win against one of ONE's most precise strikers.

"The training routine is still the same, but more intense," Tawanchai said. "I've seen Superbon fight before, so I might change my style a little. Let's wait and see in the ring."

Tawanchai goes into his second meeting with Superbon riding an impressive seven-fight win streak, including successful outings against Saemapetch, Petchmorakot, and back-to-back bouts against 'Smokin' Jo Nattawut.

Will he make it eight straight on martial arts' biggest global stage, or will Superbon even the series and add a second ONE world title to his resume?
