The reigning three-division ONE MMA world champion, along with his wife and his team, was in his hometown of Kemorovo to touch base with the youth there, not only to promote ONE Championship but also to grow martial arts.

It is something he hopes to make a regular endeavor so as to help more people tap on martial arts to lead better lives.

Speaking to ONE Championship in an interview, Anatoly Malykhin shared their vision and plans in promoting martial arts back home moving forward, saying:

"Whenever we're back home, we try to dedicate as much time as possible to the youth and children. All I ask is for them to show up, and I'm ready to share my story and train them every week."

Anatoly Malykhin, 36, has had a highly successful professional MMA career, undefeated so far in 14 matches. His last six victories all came in ONE Championship and by knockout while claiming the promotion's middleweight, light heavyweight, and heavyweight world titles.

Anatoly Malykhin to defend heavyweight belt for the first time at ONE 169

ONE heavyweight MMA world champion Anatoly Malykhin is set to defend his championship belt for the first time later this year in the United States.

'Sladkiy' stakes the heavyweight gold against Senegalese challenger 'Reug Reug' Oumar Kane at ONE 169 in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A., on Nov. 8. It will be played at the State Farm Arena, home of the NBA's Atlanta Hawks.

It will be the first time that Malykhin will be defending the heavyweight world title after he unified the division's belts in June last year with a TKO victory over erstwhile champ Arjan Bhullar.

Looking to cut his reign is 'Reug Reug', who is on a four-fight winning streak and is among the top contenders in the heavyweight class.

ONE 169: Atlanta will be available to North American fans through Amazon Prime Video.
