WWE superstar Bobby Lashley has had a relatively successful MMA career compared to other pro wrestlers. 'The Dominator' racked up an impressive 15-2 record in a career spanning less than a decade.
Lashley fought in leading organizations like Strikeforce and Bellator, while also plying his trade under lesser known banners like Titan FC. However, the heavyweight fighter never competed in the biggest MMA promotion in the world, the UFC.
An American Top Team representative, Lashley made his professional debut in the Florida regional circuit in 2008. After starting his career on a three-fight win streak, Lashley was booked against the humungous Bob Sapp whom he also defeated via TKO to earn a Strikeforce contract.

Bobby Lashley is interested in a return to MMA
The WWE brass including Vince McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Paul “Triple H” Levesque showed up to UFC 276 last July after WWE’s Money in the Bank that took place on the same night.
This led Bobby Lashley to wonder about a potential crossover MMA fight under the UFC. 'The Dominator', who still claims to have a flair for MMA, even texted Vince McMahon to ask about it but was seemingly not entertained. Lashley said in an interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp:
“It’s still in me. I’m just that guy. I was talking before because I know that we were doing stuff with the UFC. Vince and Stephanie (McMahon) and all them was sitting ringside, and I was in the stands, also. I’m texting Vince, ‘Can I get in there?’ He’s like, ‘Come on.’ So I still have it in me. I love fighting.”
