Kick streamer Adin Ross's comments during his conversation with Islam Makhachev and Ali Abdelaziz were poorly received by fans. Ross was criticized by many for believing that Russia is a backward nation.

During a recent Kick stream at UFC PI, Ross asked Abdelaziz and Makhachev if there was wifi in Russia, which surprised the reigning champion. The Dagestani fighter then claimed that his country possesses everything the United States has, criticizing Ross' perspective of Russia.

The 24-year-old later apologized for his words and indicated that he would visit Russia in the future to livestream his experiences there.

Islam Makhachev discusses potentially breaking Khabib Nurmagomedov's record at UFC 311

Islam Makhachev is preparing with his longtime friend and mentor Khabib Nurmagomedov for his lightweight title defense against Arman Tsarukyan in the main event of UFC 311 on Jan. 18.

Makhachev is tied with Nurmagomedov, Benson Henderson, and BJ Penn for the most lightweight title defenses (three), and a win over Tsarukyan would bring his total to four. However, in a recent interview with Shakeil Mahjouri, the Dagestani stated that he is not concerned about it as he is completely focused on his upcoming fight.

Makhachev said:

''Khabib’s here to help us to be better than him, to push us, to help us. Records, all this stuff it’s nothing for me. I just want to keep my belt.''
