'Super Samoan' made his professional boxing debut back in 1998 and lost to John Wyborn on points. In his second contest, the former MMA fighter took on Joe Askew (8-0 at the time) and managed to score a draw on the judges' scorecards. Askew last fought in 2001 and left the sport with an unbeaten record of nine wins and one draw.
In 2020, Mark Hunt returned to the professional boxing scene and took on Paul Gallen, who was unbeaten at the time. Hunt lost via unanimous decision, with his opponent currently holding an impressive boxing record of 14-2-1.

Mark Hunt hasn't fought in professional MMA since losing to Justin Willis at UFC Fight Night 142: Dos Santos vs. Tuivasa in 2018. 'Super Samoan' lost via unanimous decision after three rounds of fighting. Hunt walked away from the sport with a professional record of 13 wins, 14 losses, one draw, and one no-contest.
Despite 'Super Samoan' being a respected name in the MMA world, he ended his career on a three-loss streak. Willis, Aleksei Oleinik, and Curtis Blaydes all managed to get the better of Hunt in the twilight of his career.
The 48-year-old's most recent MMA win came against Derrick Lewis back in 2017. Hunt managed to finish Lewis in the fourth round in the main event of UFC Fight Night 110.
