With direct ties to Palestine, Muhammad has been openly vocal about his support for the nation during the Israel-Hamas war. His political stance on the international incident has been his driving force ahead of the first title fight of his career against Leon Edwards at UFC 304.
'Remember the Name' exemplified his stance in a recent edition of UFC Countdown in which he discussed the emotional impact he had on the country's citizens. Muhammad explained how much that meant to him while spending time with a father and son he brought over to Chicago from Palestine after the child's mother died.

Belal Muhammad will headline UFC 304 against Leon Edwards
Three years after fighting Leon Edwards on short notice at the UFC APEX, Belal Muhammad will finally receive the title shot he is owed at UFC 304 in a rematch with the current welterweight champion. With Edwards currently residing in Birmingham, England, the two will meet in the headlining bout of the July 27 pay-per-view event in Manchester.
Entering the matchup, Muhammad has not lost a fight since 2019, currently on a five-fight win streak and unbeaten in his last 10 outings.
The fight card will follow the co-main event featuring interim heavyweight champion and United Kingdom native Tom Aspinall defending his temporary belt against Curtis Blaydes. The first title fight of the night will also be a rematch of a previous bout that saw Aspinall tear his MCL in just 15 seconds.
