Manel Kape has criticized Muhammad Mokaev for his alleged "betrayal." Kape's and Mokaev's teams reportedly clashed at the UFC fighter hotel, videos of which have set the MMA community abuzz. 'Starboy' has alluded to the altercation and accused the 23-year-old Mokaev of deceitfully attacking him.

Kape is scheduled to face Mokaev in a highly-anticipated flyweight grudge match at UFC 304 at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England, on July 27, 2024. The Angola-born Portuguese Kape and the Dagestan-born Englishman Mokaev have long been at odds.

Earlier this year, Kape's teammate Jean Silva suggested that the former had struck Mokaev in an altercation at the UFC PI (Performance Institute) in Las Vegas. Kape later seemingly de-emphasized Silva's claims and indicated that the latter was simply hyping up his (Kape's) eventual fight against Mokaev.

The flyweight rivalry seems to have reached a crescendo, as Team Kape and Team Mokaev collided at the UFC fighter hotel ahead of UFC 304.

Manel Kape and Muhammad Mokaev both happen to be devout Muslims who devotedly profess their Islamic faith. Taking to X, Kape insinuated that Mokaev wasn't a true Muslim. Intriguingly, the 30-year-old also seemed to acknowledge that he hit Mokaev in Vegas.

'Starboy' tweeted an image of a cut on Mokaev's forehead and wrote:

"What kind of Muslim are you? You gave me Salam asked to take a picture and then tried to punch me in the betrayal, i can see now you are not a child of the dagestao, because there are created men you are just a poor bast**d raised on a low income in Manchester without honor and principles."

He added:

"When I hit you in Vegas I went alone and I told you to be ready, I don't hit men with their guard down or distracted or on the back. I thought everything was solved, but now the carnage will continue... Shaytan!"

Mokaev responded on his Instagram Stories, featuring an image of himself smiling and the following statements in the Russian language (*translation courtesy of Google Translate):

"That's what happens in life ... You were not taught how to fight."

Manel Kape previously downplayed the alleged UFC PI altercation with Muhammad Mokaev

Speaking to AG Fight, Brazil's Jean Silva had asserted that Manel Kape had head-butted and elbowed Muhammad Mokaev in a face-off at the UFC PI. Kape recently spoke to MMA Fighting and implied that his Brazilian friend, Silva, was simply helping "spice up the fight" between him and Mokaev.

'Starboy' noted that Silva knew that he and Mokaev had extensively jibed at one another on social media and had been feuding for a while. He then noted that Mokaev's from Dagestan and England, whereas he's in Vegas. Kape stated:

"People like to buy this fan story. This is the story. By the way, Jean is a good promoter."

Furthermore, Kape similarly downplayed the UFC PI altercation in a recent interview with InsideFighting, notably saying that the story of the altercation was "not true at all."
