However, 'The Baddy' believes that he clearly won the three-round affair. During the post-fight press conference at UFC 282, the 27-year-old stated that he had definitely won the fight since he inflicted the most damage during the contest:

"Everyone has got an opinion lad, the opinions are [like] a**holes, you know what I mean? Everyone has got one. I know I won that fight... I won a unanimous decision, it's not even like it was a split decision. Look at his face and look at mine. Fights gets scored on damage now. I landed a lot more damage, end of... Control time means nothing when you don't do nothing with it."

Although Pimblett slightly edged out 'Flash' in terms of significant strikes, the American had almost six-and-a-half minutes of total control time against the Scouser during the fight.
However, all three judges scored the contest a 29-28 in favor of 'The Baddy'. With the win, the Brit has furthered his undefeated UFC record to 4-0. UFC 282 marked the 27-year-old's first decision win in the premier MMA promotion.

During the post-fight press conference at UFC 282, surging featherweight contender Ilia Topuria claimed that Paddy Pimblett clearly lost the fight against Jared Gordon. 'El Matador' joked that the undeserved win was the UFC's Christmas gift to 'The Baddy'.
The Georgian-Spaniard opined that Pimblett didn't even win a single round against 'Flash':
"They gave him a Christmas gift right now because he clearly lost the fight. I don't think anyone [will] disagree with me in this room... Yeah, Jared [Gordon] won all three rounds. He [Pimblett] didn't win any round, but anyways, f**k him."
