The queen protected her throne at ONE Fight Night 8: Superlek vs. Williams on Prime Video, as Allycia Hellen Rodrigues successfully unified the ONE atomweight Muay Thai world titles to become the undisputed ruler of her division.
It certainly wasn’t an easy feat for the 24-year-old, who overcame a lot of adversity just to get her hand raised.
The Phuket Fight Club product took on the erstwhile interim atomweight Muay Thai world champion Janet Todd, who entered the match on a red-hot seven-fight winning streak.
As if duking it out with arguably one of the best female strikers on the planet today wasn’t difficult enough, Rodrigues was also coming off a nearly three-year layoff after giving birth to her first child.

Rodrigues showed some ring rust early on, allowing ‘JT’ to set the tempo of the match with her punch combinations and chopping leg kicks. However, once the Brazilian shook off the cobwebs in round three, the tide of victory shifted in her direction.
Rodrigues reminded the world just how frightening she can be, launching a close-ranged assault that left Todd bleeding from a nasty gash.
She displayed the beauty and ferocity of pure and unadulterated Muay Thai by outclassing the American for five rounds.
With her career-defining win now in the books, what’s in store for Allycia Hellen Rodrigues?
Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is due for two-sport supremacy
After being away from the circle for so long, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues wishes to make up for lost time as quickly as she can.
Speaking to Mitch Chilson in her post-fight interview, the proud mom-champ expressed her desire to run it back with Todd. This time around, she wants it under kickboxing rules for the 37-year-old’s remaining atomweight kickboxing world title:
“The next step of course is I want to fight for the world title in kickboxing, but I know I need to wait. But I’ll be ready, whenever you want I’ll be here.”
While a second meeting between the two fierce warriors seems inevitable, Rodrigues does have other enticing matchups to consider.
Stamp Fairtex, who’s currently ranked first in the women’s atomweight MMA division, said she plans to return to her roots in Muay Thai and avenge her previous loss to Rodrigues. The 24-year-old also seems to be on board if ONE decides to set it up.
While Rodrigues understands her obligations as a world champion, she certainly deserves a shot at capturing a second golden belt after beating the likes of Stamp Fairtex and Janet Todd.
Todd, for her part, likely wants to get even herself and wouldn’t mind a do-over with the Brazilian. Even ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong said he is considering setting up Rodrigues vs. Todd II for the atomweight kickboxing gold strap.
Nevertheless, Allycia Hellen Rodrigues is truly one of the brightest stars in the promotion today and we all want to see her back doing her thing inside the circle as soon as possible.
