Christian Lee’s domination has now become transcendent.
The ONE lightweight world champion completed his double-gold hunt when he knocked out Kiamrian Abbasov to capture the ONE welterweight world title in the main event of ONE on Prime Video 4. The bout went down this Friday at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Though he struggled in the opening round, Lee eventually found his groove and completely decimated Abbasov in the fourth.

Lee dug deep into his vast experience and bludgeoned Abbasov with cracking elbows before ending the match with some ground-and-pound.
Though he’s at the absolute peak of his powers, having two belts under his name has made the target on Lee’s back all the bigger.
Christian Lee already said that he’d be jumping between the divisions regularly. But having back-to-back fights is hard on any fighter. Shedding and gaining 15 pounds every time he fights will put an immense toll on his body, and Lee knows it.
The 24-year-old could stay at welterweight for a while and get his body more in tune with the 185-pound division. Lee can take on a plethora of challengers in the welterweight class.
Former world champion Zebaztian Kadestam could be a viable next fight for Lee. Even a rematch against Abbasov down the line is a possibility.
There is, however, another man who can contend for the welterweight gold soon, Roberto Soldic. The two-division KSW champion has won titles at welterweight and middleweight, and a showdown against Lee in the future seems almost inevitable.
If Lee jumps back to lightweight for his next match, then he'll have several killers waiting for him there as well.
ONE Championship’s lightweight division has been injected with new blood with fighters such as Saygid Izagakhmaev, Halil Amir, and Dagi Arslanaliev.
Christian Lee may have cleaned out the old generation of lightweights, but the younger fighters are hungry and ready for their place under the spotlight.
Christian Lee leaves it all in the cage against Kiamrian Abbasov
Christian Lee knew that he had to put it all on the line when he moved up to challenge for welterweight gold, and he did just that against Abbasov.
The lightweight king had to recover from an early scare to get his momentum and launch an offensive against Abbasov in the fourth.
Lee said in his post-fight interview with Mitch Chilson that he had to channel his championship mentality:
“I give Abbasov credit man. He was the champion for a reason. Very tough dude. I left it in the ring. I can hardly carry these belts, but yeah, I didn’t know where I was, but a true champion never quits so I found a way to come back.”
