Khamzat Chimaev clapped back at Jorge Masvidal after the 'BMF' title holder criticized him during his recent appearance on The MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani.

Chimaev took to Twitter and targeted Masvidal in a couple of Tweets, where he referenced losses during his career. The first tweet featured a still image of 'Gamebred' prior to being submitted via an inverted triangle choke against Toby Imada in Bellator.

He wrote:

"what's wrong with you boy ?"

'Borz' then followed up with another tweet featuring Masvidal laying on the canvas following his knockout loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC 261. It was a well-timed knockout as Usman dropped him with a powerful right hand. He told the 'BMF' title holder to wake up, writing:

"Wake up to reality boy"

It looks as though Chimaev will be competing at 185lbs going forward, but it'll be interesting to see whether he comments on Masvidal's performance when he fights Gilbert Burns at UFC 287.

Khamzat Chimaev fires back at Colby Covington

Khamzat Chimaev has been vocal about Colby Covington after the former interim welterweight champion stated to fight him numerous times, but a bout between the two didn't materialize.

In a series of tweets, 'Borz' targetted Jorge Masvidal, Alex Pereira, and went after Covington by posting a photo of him with a phone, police car, and ambulance emoji as the caption.

The tweet was in reference to 'Chaos' calling the police after his altercation with Fabricio Werdum, which saw the former heavyweight champion throw a boomerang at him. It is also a reference to the altercation he had with former American Top Team teammate-turned-enemy Masvidal that took place outside a restaurant in Miami, Florida, which led to the 'BMF' title holder facing criminal charges.

It remains to be seen whether 'Borz' and Covington's paths will cross in the UFC in the future. If they are both successful and become champions in their respective weight-divisions, it wouldn't be too far fetched for the promotion to make another attempt at booking the fight.
