Tony Ferguson has lost, in brutal fashion, his last five UFC outings and seemingly isn't improving inside the octagon. However, 'El Cucuy' is not ready to give up yet. He recently responded to Khabib Nurmagomedov's calls for him to leave the sport.
Nurmagomedov was critical of Ferguson's primary motivation to continue fighting, The Dagestani believes "money" is the main reason 'El Cucuy' continues to compete. His comments clearly didn't sit well with the American, who later responded to Nurmagomedov via Twitter. Hitting back at 'The Eagle', Tony Ferguson stated:
"Oh Fathead, When Will You Ever Grow A Pair of Balls & Stop Writing Checks Your Body Can’t Cash. Pops Would Be Pissed If He Knew How Much Of A Turd Ya’Turned Into. What A Eunic. Does This Dude Even Tiramisu?" [sic]

Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov, of course, have history together. The pair was scheduled to fight each other on multiple occasions. However, bad weight-cuts, freak injuries, and a global pandemic got in the way. The fan-favourite bout fell apart five times during their UFC careers and sadly never happened.

When did Tony Ferguson last win in the UFC and whom did he beat?
As mentioned, Tony Ferguson has lost his last five UFC outings, with Nate Diaz, Michael Chandler, Beneil Dariush, Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje all getting the better of 'El Cucuy'. The American hasn't won a UFC outing since facing Donald Cerrone at UFC 238: Cejudo vs. Moraes in 2019.
Ferguson managed to win via doctor stoppage after 'Cowboy' suffered a nasty eye injury. The contest only lasted two rounds, but due to Cerrone's eye being completely closed, UFC officials couldn't let the fighter continue.
'El Cucuy' clearly isn't keen on ending his MMA career on a five-fight losing streak. The UFC legend has only been losing against high-level opposition. All of his recent opponents besides Dariush have competed for or held a UFC title.
Ferguson is yet to book his next fight with the organization. However, you'd have to imagine that the 38-year-old would only be interested in fighting a competitive opponent and would not want an "easy" outing.
