Colby Covington recently expressed disgust at a UFC welterweight's act of leaking Chael Sonnen's phone number online. Covington also intended to teach the miscreant a lesson inside the octagon if required.

The UFC welterweight in discussion here is Gilbert Burns, who doesn't have a history of bad-mouthing his adversaries. However, Sonnen made a claim about Burns declaring his retirement from the sport during a recent episode of the Good Guy/Bad Guy podcast, despite the Brazilian never talking about his retirement. Burns replied to Sonnen's act by leaking his phone number with a now-deleted X update.

A recent video by @Home_of_Fight showcased Covington dissing Burns for his "despicable" move of publicizing Sonnen's contact number. Covington stressed the negative consequences of 'Durinho's' act.

"That's disgusting [Burns' act of leaking Sonnen's number]. That's despicable... It's a security concern. That was very immature. Gilbert, what are we, in high school, dude? Be a grown-a** man, dude. You have kids. You have a family. Why would you do that to another family man?"

Covington also intended to school Burns inside the octagon so badly that he would never show his face in America:

"Uncle Chael, if you want me to handle that inside the octagon, I will get justice for us. I will get justice on Gilbert’s f**king face. I will make sure he never shows his face in America ever again because [of] how badly I beat him."

Colby Covington's performance at UFC Tampa satisfied the current welterweight champion

Colby Covington had his eyes set on a title shot after his UFC Tampa fight against Joaquin Buckley. However, his adversary defeated him in almost every aspect of the fight, ultimately causing the doctor to stop the fight in the final seconds of the third round.

A left uppercut from Buckley caused a gnarly cut over Covington's left eye after a few minutes into the fight. Buckley's domination caused Covington's injury to open up even more, forcing a doctor's stoppage.

It may have been a disappointing day for Covington in the office. Still, the current welterweight champ, Belal Muhammad, recently said he loved watching Covington getting battered by Buckley. 'Remember The Name' told MMA Today:

"It felt so good to watch [Covington] bleed. I was just hoping the doctor would let it go a little bit more because now you open the door for Colby to make excuses... Bro, you're literally getting pieced up in every way. You're losing the grappling, you're losing the striking, you're losing the kickboxing, you even lost the walkout."
