Holly Holm shocked the MMA world when she brutally knocked out the seemingly unstoppable Ronda Rousey in the main event of UFC 193. The event was held at the packed-out Etihad Arena in Melbourne in November 2015.
Considered one of the biggest upsets in UFC history, Holm defeated the long-reigning bantamweight champion just 59 seconds into the second round.
While the highly anticipated rematch never materialized, Holly Holm recently returned to action against Yana Santos at UFC San Antonio. The 41-year-old defeated her opponent via unanimous decision to prove she’s still adding new wrinkles to her game.
Before her fight, the UFC tweeted out a throwback to her knockout against Rousey. Being reminded of that highlight moment, fans made their reactions known in the comments section of the tweet:

When Ronda Rousey opened up about her loss to Holly Holm
Ronda Rousey went into her fight against Holly Holm at UFC 193 as the inaugural women's bantamweight champion. She already had six title defenses under her belt and was touted as the promotion's second-biggest star after Conor McGregor at the time.
While many expected 'Rowdy' to make easy work of 'The Preacher's Daughter', the relative newcomer shocked the arena when her signature head kick dropped the champion. Holly Holm followed up with a barrage of strikes that forced referee Herb Dean to stop the contest.
Following the loss, Ronda Rousey went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2016 to talk about the emotional rollercoaster that she went through in the aftermath. She admitted to having suicidal thoughts in the medical room.
The former women's bantamweight champion said:
"I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself, and that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing. What do I do anymore? And no one gives a f*ck about me anymore without this.'"
