On episode #2190 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the popular podcaster engaged PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel in a theory he had about aliens, and it all ties into the naming scheme he chose for his comedy clubs. Rogan has always held a longtime interest in all things UFO.
During their sitdown, Rogan speculated that a large chunk of UFO sightings stem from civilians mistaking drone programs for extraterrestrial phenomena. However, when asked by Thiel if he believed that older UFO sightings from decades past were drone programs, Rogan was quick to dismiss the notion.
"No, those were already that advanced. No, those are the ones that give me pause. That's why when I named my comedy club, The Comedy Mothership, it's all UFO-themed, our rooms are named Fat Man and Little Boy. Our rooms are named after the nuclear bombs, because those nuclear bombs when they dropped them, that's when everybody starts seeing these things."
Rogan then highlights the actions he'd take were he a more advanced civilization relative to mankind.

"I think if I was a sophisticated society from another planet, I'd recognize that there is an intelligence species that has developed nuclear power and has started using it as bombs. I would immediately start visiting and I would let them know, 'Hey, motherf***ers. There's something way more advanced than you.' I would hover over the nuclear bases and shut down their missiles. I would do all the things that the UFOs supposedly did, just to keep the government in check."

Joe Rogan recently shared Terrence Howard's conspiracy theory about Martian life
On episode #2247 of his podcast, Joe Rogan and fellow comedian Duncan Trussell found themselves locked in a discussion about the cosmos. At this point, Rogan brought up a conspiracy theory about ancient Martian life impacting the potential trajectory of life on Earth.
The theory belongs to Terrence Howard, a former 'Iron Man' actor.
"He thinks that Mars, at one point in time, probably had civilization and life. And then as Mars got further and further and further out from the protection of the Sun, it eventually gets too cold."
