Chael Sonnen lectured Daniel Cormier about not interrupting him during their podcast.
Following their fighting careers, Sonnen and Cormier took similar paths in making MMA content on social media. The legendary former UFC fighters have their respective YouTube channels and also work together on an ESPN show called Good Guy / Bad Guy.
Sonnen and Cormier recently released a video for their 2025 MMA predictions. Sonnen ended the episode by demanding Cormier stop interrupting him:
"Well, I've been a pretty good partner and definitely a pretty good friend this year. Do I have any favors stored up? Like could I get a favor from you when we go into this break? I want you to do a real deep dive, but I want you to go into a word called interrupting. I want you to really learn what interrupting is and then I want you to try to come back with a commitment that you're going to do a little less of it next year."

Sonnen followed up by saying:
"When my mouth is moving, yours is shut. That's how it works. Bad guy and the other guy. If you enjoy being the other guy, do a little more listening than talking."

Chael Sonnen reveals Hulk Hogan's humbleness while cornering Colby Covington
On Dec. 14, 2024, the final UFC event of the year took place in Tampa, Florida. In the main event, Joaquin Buckley furthered his status as a welterweight contender with a third-round TKO (doctor's stoppage) against Colby Covington.
One of the biggest takeaways from the matchup was Covington's walkout. The former interim UFC champion walked out with Hulk Hogan and Chael Sonnen, which generated plenty of attention from fans.
During an episode of Good Guy / Bad Guy, Sonnen revealed Hogan's humbleness backstage before the walkout:
"It was a cool thing, it was Hulk Hogan... Very first thing Colby says to him, 'When the camera hits, Hulk, I wanted you with the American flag...I come out behind you'. And Hulk cut him off and said, 'Colby, too far. I am a guest in your house. You go first, I'm at your back... I won't have it any other way.' And that was his attitude right from the beginning and he was more than welcome in that locker room."
Colby Covington's loss against Joaquin Buckley was his only fight in 2023. The 36-year-old plans to bounce back in 2025 and potentially secure his first UFC win since defeating Jorge Masvidal by unanimous decision in March 2022.
