Nate Diaz next fight: Where does the Stockton native want to try his hand next?

UFC 244 Masvidal v Diaz
UFC 244 Jorge Masvidal v Nate Diaz

Nate Diaz left the UFC after competing in the final fight of his contract at UFC 279 against another seasoned veteran, Tony Ferguson.

Diaz went out in style, securing a submission victory over the former lightweight champion. He has not announced his next fight yet, but he has a lot of options ahead of him. Despite never winning a title, the Stockton native is a fan favorite.

He is known for his trash talk and in-ring antics, such as slapping his opponents. Fans also love the fact that he never backs down from a fight, and has fought the cream of the crop in his division. Even after leaving the UFC, he will bring a horde of loyal MMA fans to whatever promotion or sport he shifts to next. He currently has the option to shift to boxing or another big MMA promotion.

In boxing, he already has two opponents lined up. Diaz and Jake Paul have been going back and forth on Twitter the past couple of months, and have called each other out to a fight. Another possible match-up for him will be a fight against Anderson Silva, who previously fought Nate's brother Nick.

Will Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul take place?

Nate Diaz and Jake Paul have made it very clear that they want to fight each other. 'The Problem Child' has already fought 2 other MMA fighters in the boxing ring, and is currently preparing to fight his third. He will fight UFC legend Anderson Silva on October 29 at the Gila River Arena in Arizona. If he can get past 'Spider' he may look to challenge Diaz.

While on the TimboSugaShow, he gave a timeline for the Diaz fight:

"That's gonna happen [boxing Nate Diaz], in the next two years. It's huge man. It's getting closer and closer to being real. Finally, the UFC got him [Nate Diaz] the fight with Khamzat [Chimaev]... Me vs. Nate will probably be at 180lbs. Then it'll be Jake Paul beats Nate and it gets closer and closer to Conor [McGregor] not being able to duck me anymore."

With the Stockton native also on board with the idea of the pair fighting in the boxing ring, it may not be long before the fight is announced. For now, 'The Problem Child' will look to get past Anderson Silva.
