The world's premier MMA organization is bringing its next event, UFC 287, to Miami, Florida on April 8. This will be the promotion's first event in the city since 2003.
UFC 287 will take place at the Miami-Dade Arena and will be headlined by a middleweight title fight between Israel Adesanya and 185-pound king Alex Pereira.
The history between the two fighters adds to the excitement of the main event. Pereira and 'The Last Stylebender' have crossed paths three times in combat sports. Their first two fights took place in kickboxing and 'Poatan' walked away with the victory on both occasions.

Their third encounter took place in the octagon. The long-time rivals faced off at UFC 281 for the middleweight title. Adesanya was getting the better of the Brazilian for the majority of the fight before Alex Pereira bounced back in the fifth round and scored a TKO victory to win the title. By doing so, Pereira became the first fighter to knock 'The Last Stylebender' out in an MMA fight.
The co-main event will feature a welterweight banger in the form of Gilbert Burns and Jorge Masvidal.
Other exciting matchups on the card include Rob Font vs. Adrian Yanez, Kevin Holland vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio and Kelvin Gastelum vs. Chris Curtis.
Raul Rosas Jr., Chris Barnett and Michelle Waterson will also compete on the card.
