Ken Shamrock once detailed how his infamous rift with Dana White began, which resulted in years of back-and-forth jibes through the media and litigation. The beef between the two lasted for years before they reportedly patched things up.

The UFC legend had been among the pioneers that helped build the promotion and got on White's bad side when pursuing an opportunity with a competitor. At the time, Shamrock had one fight remaining on his deal and was approached with an offer by the IFL to serve as a coach for their upcoming season.

During his appearance on The Kurt Angle Show, the Hall of Famer noted that he met with the UFC CEO to make him aware of the offer and expressed interest because it would ensure his pupils would get fights. Shamrock mentioned that White was enraged and promised that he would blacklist him from the promotion if he went into business with the IFL:

"He blew up... 'You're not going to fight for those scumbags'...I said, 'I won't do it if you can promise me that you will have at least three or four of my guys fight every year'. He looked at me and said, 'I can't promise that...If you do this, you will not fight in the UFC again'. That's where the lawsuit came in...That's how our relationship got strained. Even though it had nothing to do with me...Dana didn't want [my fighters] to have that opportunity because [IFL's brass] supposedly to him, were scumbags." [3:00]

Ken Shamrock made revelation about concept for 'The Ultimate Fighter'

In addition to detailing how his rift with UFC CEO Dana White began, Ken Shamrock also made a revelation about the concept for 'The Ultimate Fighter'.

During the aforementioned clip, Shamrock mentioned that there was a noticeable resemblance to the 'TUF' concept of fighters living together in the same house and training together to his own with his Lion's Den:

"I was supposed to be on the first [season], I couldn't do it because I had told him I had other plans...The fact is 'The Ultimate Fighter' is literally based off the fact of putting fighters in a home and training them, which is what I did...I did it a long time ago, it worked, I created champions from that and now all the of a sudden the UFC was doing it."
