Conor McGregor had an issue with his picture in a UFC Twitter post regarding undisputed lightweight champions. A week after Islam Makhachev was crowned the new lightweight champ, the UFC uploaded a post listing all the undisputed lightweight champions in the history of the promotion, all the way back to Jens Pulver.
Also posing the lightweight GOAT question, the post reads:
"𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙚𝙠 𝙤𝙣, 𝙄𝙨𝙡𝙖𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙠𝙝𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙫 𝙞𝙨 𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙖𝙣 𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙪𝙨 𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 🏆 Who's the greatest lightweight of all-time?"
McGregor seemed to take issue with his picture in the post, which showed only one belt. 'Notorious' was already the UFC featherweight champion when he defeated Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title in 2016.

However, McGregor's concerns seem unjustified as some of the champs don't even have their straps displayed in the pictures. This also includes lightweight legend B.J. Penn, who is the only lightweight champion besides McGregor to have held a second belt. However, the Irishman still holds the distinction of being the first UFC fighter to hold two straps simultaneously.
Conor McGregor is eyeing a return in early 2023 despite being ruled out for six months
Conor McGregor has been out of the octagon for over a year and has not been tested by the USADA since the third quarter of 2021. Dana White recently confirmed that the Irishman will have to be under the USADA testing pool for at least six months before he can fight, delaying his return to at least mid-2023.
However, McGregor now claims to be eyeing a return early next year. Currently shooting for his Hollywood debut in the remake of the 80's classic Road House, 'Notorious' has vowed to wrap things up quickly and start camp. The former UFC double champion said on Instagram Live:
"I'm going to be back soon, hopefully. Early 2023, I'm aiming for. Sometime in the first quarter. That will give me a good couple of months. Once I wrap this in a couple of days and get the camp going... good couple of months and get going."

Conor McGregor has only won a single welterweight bout against Donald Cerrone since his lightweight win over Eddie Alvarez in 2016. The 34-year-old is 1-3 in his last four outings and is unlikely to make another title run if and when he returns.
