The only fighter to miss weight at UFC 282 was flyweight contender Daniel da Silva. The Brazilian weighed in at 129 lbs, which is three pounds above the legal divisional limit for non-title fights.
Although 'Miojo's fight with Vinicius Salvador was originally agreed to proceed at catchweight with Silva forfeiting 20% of his fight purse, the bout was later scrapped entirely from the card owing to medical issues on Silva's end. Salvador is expected to be paid his show purse since he successfully made weight for the event. However, it is not yet clear whether the UFC will reschedule the fight for a future fight card.
Vinicius Salvador is currently on a four-fight win streak, which includes his most recent second-round TKO win against Shannon Ross in the recently concluded Dana White's Contender Series. Daniel da Silva, on the other hand, is currently on a three-fight skid. Before the bout was toppled by a botched weight cut, 'Fenomeno' was the favorite, according to various sports books.
