Andrew Cain is regarded as one of boxing's biggest upcoming talents. The Liverpudlian, who is currently signed to Frank Warren's Queensberry promotion, has been touted by the promoter himself as on the coming 'trail of destruction' for the bantamweight division.
As it stands, Cain is the current British and Commonwealth bantamweight champ and is set for the biggest bout of his professional career against Joshua John next month. The pair are set to fight it out for the vacant WBC International Silver bantamweight belt at Echo Arena in Liverpool on Oct. 5.
Who is Andrew Cain?
Andrew Cain was born in Liverpool, Merseyside on Aug. 3, 1996. He is a scouser, born and bred, and still remains there to this day as he looks to continue his surge in the sport.

After being introduced to boxing at young age by his family in order to prevent him from falling in with the wrong crowd, Cain fell in love with the sport. Cain decided early that he was prepared to dedicate his life to making it to the top.
As soon as he became of age, the now 28-year-old did his work on the amateur circuit, building up an impressive undefeated record before opting to turn pro. He then made his professional debut back in 2015, knocking out Patrik Bartos in his hometown.
Cain then went on to win his next nine bouts, demonstrating a killer instinct by finishing 8 of those wins via TKO/KO. He then suffered the first blip of his career, however, when he came up short against Ionut Baluta via split-decision last year. The result was seen as highly contentious, as Cain had knocked his opponent down on multiple occasions, whereas he was only dropped once himself.
Whilst the loss did cost him the WBC International Silver bantamweight title, Andrew Cain showed no signs of letting his first defeat get to him. After taking some time off to regroup, he has since faced Darwing Martinez and Ashley Lane, finishing both men in impressive fashion to immediately catapult himself right back into the title picture.
Cain, now 12-1 as a professional, will next face Joshua John on Oct. 5 in front of his home fans once again. The pair will fight it out for the now vacant WBC belt, with the Liverpudlian hoping he can once again reclaim his title and continue to prove Frank Warren's belief in him correct.
