Anthony Cacace is set to compete once again under Queensberry Rules in a matter of hours against Josh Warrington at a massive event set to go down at Wembley Stadium. Who is Anthony Cacace is a question that has been popping up ahead of his fight tomorrow and it turns out he is an accomplished fighter with an inspiring story.
He sports a professional boxing record of 22-1 with eight stoppages to his credit. The lone loss of Cacace's pro combative endeavors took place in July 2017 and he also has roughly 160 amateur bouts to his credit.
Cacace is coached by Barry O'Neill who has gone as far as to say that the Irish warrior hits harder than anyone he has ever held pads for. His overall finishing rate belies that clam a bit but Cacace did finish his last fight inside the distance in what some saw as an upset victory.
Holy Trinity Boxing Club looks to be the main space that Anthony Cacace gets in work at and that has been the case since he was 18. He is currently the IBO as well as the IBF super featherweight world champion and will be defending the IBO gold on Sept. 21.

Anthony Cacace is largely known as 'The Apache' but bears the moniker of 'Anto' as well.
The 35-year-old was delivering chinese takeaway just a year ago and many have resonated with his inspiring story. Cacace wasn't getting paid much from boxing as he would end up competing around once a year over the last half decade due to numerous fights falling out. This will be Cacace's first instance of getting more than one fight in a calendar year since 2019.
The native of Northern Ireland last fought on the Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk undercard and will be competing before another generational heavyweight talent steps into the ring on this looming event as well. Anthony Joshua vs Daniel Dubois will battle for the vacant IBF heavyweight title in the headliner of this card after Cacace clashes with Josh Warrington.
Warrington is a former IBF featherweight champion and has collected several Commonwealth, international, as well as British titles. He aims to rebound from back-to-back losses and apply a fresh coat of paint on to his career in a higher weight category against a unified titleholder in Cacace.
