Bruce Carrington talks potential clash against Naoya Inoue

Bruce Carrington is confident that he can defeat Japanese boxing sensation Naoya Inoue when he eventually moves up to the featherweight division. Carrington emphasized that while he prefers not to dwell too much on the prospect of fighting Inoue, he's confident in his skillsets if they lock horns in a potential encounter.

Carrington identified weaknesses in the Inoue's game, following his recent title defense against TJ Doheny. Speaking in an interview with Seconds Out, he said:

“I would love to have a fight with Inoue out here in the U.S. If it has to be Japan, whatever. I don’t want to get too much into the Inoue talk because he’s taking his sweet time coming up to the featherweight division. He has a lot of business to take care of [at super bantamweight]... I don’t want to be seen as this guy that is popular because of Inoue. I want to be known as Bruce Carrington and be my own star and focus on the featherweight champions in front of me right now.”
