Seemingly out of nowhere, Tyson Fury vs. Demsey McKean is on the table.
'The Gypsy King' has been looking for an opponent since a December knockout win over Derek Chisora. Since then, he's been in talks with Oleksandr Usyk over a potential heavyweight unification. However, that bout is eyed for December.
In the meantime, the British star is looking for a tune-up bout, and he might've found it. Recently, Fury has teased that he could fight in Australia this summer, and a recent name has emerged. That name is Australia's own Demsey McKean.
The 32-year-old is coming off a knockout win over Patrick Korte last October. That victory made McKean 22-0 in his professional career, having also earned several wins in the MMA cage. Funnily enough, he defeated UFC star Tai Tuivasa in the boxing ring back in April 2016.

Frankly put, nobody knows how good the Australian heavyweight is at this stage in his career. McKean has long called for a showdown with Joseph Parker, but may now get an even bigger fight against Tyson Fury. However, that remains to be seen.
The fight is currently being eyed for August. However, given Fury's history, a lot can change between now and then.
Tyson Fury vs. Demsey McKean: Angelo Di Carlo discusses fight
Given rumors of Tyson Fury vs. Demsey McKean, the Australian's manager spoke to the press.
'The Gypsy King' headed to Australia earlier this month, where he gave several interviews. There, Fury revealed that he was debating fighting in the country next, but didn't drop any names. However, considering the lack of heavyweight talent there, reports quickly emerged of McKean.
For his part, the Australian's manager, Angelo Di Carlo, discussed the possible fight in an interview News Corp. There, he revealed that the fight between his client and Fury has long been in the works. Furthermore, he revealed that McKean's promoter, Eddie Hearn, is down for the fight.
The manager added that given Demsey McKean's height and being a southpaw, the tune-up fight makes sense for Tyson Fury. In the interview, Angelo Di Carlo stated:
"We're certainly keen to do the fight. We've had a good association with Matchroom and we have great respect for Eddie Hearn, but I'll have more talks with Fury's camp and see where that takes us... Demsey and Justis are Australia's best heavyweights, but Demsey is six foot six, and being a southpaw, he would present a real test for Tyson."
