Although Rose Namajunas is the first name that pops up in one's head while talking about Zhang Weili's losses, the American is in fact not the first fighter to have triumphed over the reigning UFC strawweight queen.
The Chinese national's first mixed martial arts defeat came in her professional debut against Meng Bo under the China MMA league banner in 2013. 'Magnum' lost the fight via unanimous decision.

Interestingly, Bo was a debutant herself while facing Weili in 2013. The 26-year-old has since racked up an enviable mixed martial arts record of 19 wins and six losses. She is currently signed to the ONE Championship and holds a promotional record of three wins against two losses.
Prior to joining ONE, Meng Bo fought in promotions like Glory of Hereor, Faith Fighting Championship, and Superstar Fight.
In her most recent fight at ONE: Heavy Hitters, Bo suffered a second-round submission defeat to women's atomweight fighter Tiffany Teo.

Continuing on the line of Zhang Weili's losses, the 33-year-old's first UFC loss came against former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas at UFC 261.
In fact, 'Thug Rose' is the only woman to have defeated 'Magnum' in the premier American MMA promotion, and the fact that she did it twice makes the feat all the more impressive.
Has Zhang Weili ever been knocked out in her MMA career?
Yes, Zhang Weili has been on the receiving end of a knockout blow once in her MMA career. Like with her only UFC losses, Weili's sole KO defeat came against Rose Namajunas.
During their UFC 261 title fight, a head kick by 'Thug Rose' at the 1:18 minute mark of the first round sent the Chinese superstar crashing down to the canvas.

The 33-year-old has never been submitted in her career so far. She is generally more proficient in dishing out the finishing blows than receiving them. Unsurprisingly, 11 of 'Magnum's wins have come by knockouts, while eight of her victories came via submission.
In her latest fight at UFC 281, Weili became a two-time UFC champion when she submitted Carla Esparza in the second round of their strawweight title clash.
Weili also holds a knockout win over UFC strawweight legend Joanna Jędrzejczyk.
