Henry Turner will look to extend his undefeated streak as he takes on Jack Rafferty on Oct. 5 in Liverpool, UK, with the WBC International Silver, BBBofC British, and Commonwealth Boxing Council super lightweight titles on the line.

While the 24-year-old is one of the highly touted upcoming prospects in the sport, he is yet to land a stop in any one of the four major licensing bodies' super lightweight rankings.

Who is Henry Turner?

The hype surrounding Henry Turner comes as no surprise since the 24-year-old from High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire boasts a decorated amateur career on top of his undefeated record in the pro circuit.

Per the fighter's Instagram handle, he is a seven-time national champion and a European champion. Since turning pro in 2019 with a win over Naeem Ali, the young southpaw has racked up an enviable record of 13-0.

Making things more interesting, four of his last five wins have come via finishes. Since claiming the WBC International superlightweight strap with a second-round KO over Jorge Abel Bermudez in 2022, he has defended the belt four times.

Turner was born in Hammersmith, London to a family of showmen. During his childhood, he along with his parent and sister used to travel, conducting fun fairs across the country.

In an interview with The Sun, he stated that he even had a stall growing up, where participants had to shoot sweets off a shelf to win. In line with his family's heritage, Tuner's in-ring moniker is 'The Showman'.

His parents however paused the fun fairs when their son turned pro, to support him in his pugilistic journey.

Turner grew up in Holmer Green near High Wycombe where he still lives with his parents. While he originally started his boxing training in High Wycombe ABC, he later switched to Repton Boxing Club in Bethnal Green.

According to an interview with The Bucks Herald, the fighter does his strength and conditioning with coach Jordan Vine in Dartford and makes trips to the Ibox Gym in Bromley to Alan Smith for his boxing training.

Per his social media posts, Turner also trains with Kerry Davies to perfect his boxing drills. He is also a teammate of Commonwealth and European lightweight champion Sam Noakes.
