A look at Mikaela Mayer's defeats and achievements

Mikaela Mayer's professional boxing journey began in 2017, and she quickly established herself as a rising star. She has won world titles in the super-featherweight and lightweight divisions, defeating top-ranked opponents like Ewa Brodnicka, Maïva Hamadouche, and Lucy Wildheart.

However, Mayer has also faced setbacks in her career. One of her most notable losses came against Alycia Baumgardner in October 2022. There, she lost a close split decision for the WBC and IBO female super-featherweight world titles.

Mayer also suffered a split decision loss to Natasha Jonas in January 2024, in a bid for the IBF female world welterweight title.

Despite these defeats, Mayer has continued to prove herself as a top-level boxer. Her impressive amateur career, which included a bronze medal at the 2012 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships, has laid a strong foundation for her professional success. She has also represented the United States at the Olympic Games and won numerous amateur titles.
