In the subsequent outing at UFC 301, 'The Cannibal' outpointed Steve Erceg to make a second successful title defense.
Kai Asakura (21-4)
Japanese sensation Kai Asakura is getting a rare title opportunity in his promotional debut this Saturday. The former Rizin FF bantamweight champion is coming off back-to-back knockout victories with his latest triumph coming over Juan Archuleta at Rizin 45 in December.
Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0)
Shavkat Rakhmonov has finished all of his career wins. The Kazakhstani's last six victories came under the UFC banner, including five submissions and one knockout.
In his latest outing at UFC 296, Rakhmonov submitted Stephen Thompson in the second round. 'Nomad' will hope to keep his 100% finishing rate intact when he faces another unbeaten opponent for a chance to fight for gold.
Ian Machado Garry (15-0)
Ian Machado Garry is 8-0 under the promotional banner. The Irishman's last three victories came via decision with his latest triumph coming over former Bellator star Michael Page at UFC 303 earlier this year.
Ciryl Gane (12-2)
Ciryl Gane has fought for the UFC gold thrice since edging out Alexander Volkov in their first meeting back in 2021. 'Bon Gamin' captured the interim heavyweight title following that victory and suffered two title-fight losses against Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones over his next four outings.
Alexander Volkov (38-10)
Alexander Volkov has gone 5-1 since his decision loss to Ciryl Gane over three years ago. The Russian is on a four-fight win streak, including three straight finishes and a recent unanimous decision victory over Sergei Pavlovich in June.
Bryce Mitchell (16-2)
Bryce Mitchell has gone 1-2 in his last three trips to the octagon. 'Thug Nasty' was stopped in both the losses with his latest defeat coming against Josh Emmett via first-round knockout at UFC 296. The Arkansas native will be determined to get his hand raised when he faces another struggling opponent on Saturday.
Kron Gracie (5-2)
Kron Gracie started his UFC career in dominant fashion, scoring his fifth straight submission victory over Alex Caceres back in 2019. However, the Brazilian suffered a setback later that year as he dropped a hard-fought unanimous decision to Cub Swanson.
After a lengthy hiatus, the BJJ ace returned to the octagon at UFC 288 in May 2023 but found himself on the wrong side of another unanimous decision against Charles Jourdain.
Nate Landwehr (18-5)
Nate Landwehr had a three-fight win streak snapped in a unanimous decision loss to Dan Ige at UFC 289. However, 'The Train' bounced back impressively, knocking out Jamall Emmers in March.
Choi Doo-ho (15-4-1D)
After going winless in three straight fights, Choi Doo-ho fought Kyle Nelson to a majority draw in February 2023. In his subsequent outing earlier this year, the South Korean obliterated Bill Algeo via second-round TKO.

After dropping the bantamweight crown to Sean O'Malley at UFC 292 in August 2023, Aljamain Sterling made a statement 145-pound debut as he smothered Calvin Kattar over three rounds to secure a unanimous decision victory at UFC 300.
