UFC 285: Jones vs. Gane - Main card fighters

Here is a list of all the main card fights for this weekend's event:

Jon Jones vs. Ciryl Gane (vacant heavyweight championship)

Valentina Shevchenko (c) vs. Alexa Grasso (women's flyweight championship)

Shavkat Rakhmonov vs. Geoff Neal (welterweight)

Mateusz Gamrot vs. Jalin Turner (lightweight)

Bo Nickal vs. Jamie Pickett (middleweight)

Jon Jones (26-1-1NC)

After three years on the sidelines, Jon Jones will finally make his highly anticipated move up to heavyweight on Saturday. 'Bones' was last seen in the octagon when he scored a controversial unanimous decision win over Dominick Reyes in his light heavyweight title defense in February 2020.

Jones relinquished the 205-pound title following that performance and expressed interest in moving up a division.

Ciryl Gane (11-1)

Ciryl Gane fell short against former champion Francis Ngannou when the two collided back in January 2022. However, 'Bon Gamin' earned a second crack at the heavyweight crown with his subsequent knock out of Tai Tuivasa last time out in September.

Valentina Shevchenko (23-3)

Valentina Shevchenko edged out a razor-close split-decision win over Taila Santos at UFC 275 last June. This Saturday, 'Bullet' will look to notch her eighth straight title defense.

Alexa Grasso (15-3)

Alexa Grasso will enter this title matchup on the back of a four-fight win streak. The Mexican picked up a unanimous decision win over Viviane Araujo last time out in October 2022 after submitting Joanne Wood seven months earlier.

Shavkat Rakhmonov (16-0)

Undefeated welterweight prospect Shavkat Rakhmonov will return to the octagon, seeking his 17th straight victory. 'Nomad' will also look to keep his 100 percent finish rate alive against Geoff Neal this Saturday. The Kazakhstan native most recently dispatched Neil Magny with a second-round submission last June.

Geoff Neal (15-4)

Geoff Neal suffered back-to-back decision losses through 2020-21 but rebounded with two consecutive wins. In his latest trip to the octagon in August, the Texan scored a vicious knockout win over Vicente Luque.

Mateusz Gamrot (21-2-1NC)

Mateusz Gamrot's four-fight win streak came to a halt with his unanimous decision loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 280 in October. 'Gamer' will now look to get back in the win column and continue his march toward the title.

Jalin Turner (13-5)

Jalin Turner is riding a five-fight win streak into this matchup, with his latest triumph coming over Brad Riddell via first-round submission. The win also marked his fifth straight finish, three of which came via submission and two by way of TKO.

Bo Nickal (3-0)

Bo Nickal is set to make his UFC debut this Saturday in what will mark his fourth pro-MMA bout. The 27-year-old finished all three of his opponents inside the first round, with two of his recent wins coming in 'Dana White's Contender Series' (DWCS) last year.

Jamie Pickett (13-8)

Jamie Pickett is coming off back-to-back losses inside the octagon and was stopped in both of those fights. 'The Nightwolf' is also a product of DWCS and is 4-2 under the UFC banner.

Here is a list of all the prelim card fights for this weekend's event:

Cody Garbrandt vs. Trevin Jones (bantamweight)

Derek Brunson vs. Dricus Du Plessis (middleweight)

Viviane Araújo vs. Amanda Ribas (women's flyweight)

Trevin Jones (13-9-1NC)

Trevin Jones will also enter his upcoming bout this weekend in dire need of a win. The 32-year-old lost all of his last three fights and most recently dropped a unanimous decision to Raoni Barcelos in October.

Derek Brunson (23-8)

Derek Brunson's five-fight win streak was snapped when he ran into Jared Cannonier a year ago, suffering a second-round knockout. The 39-year-old will now look to get back in the win column as he takes on a streaking opponent.

Dricus Du Plessis (18-2)

Surging middleweight prospect Dricus Du Plessis is fresh off an impressive third-round submission win over Darren Till in December. 'Stillknocks' is riding a six-fight win streak, with all but one of those victories ending via finish.

Viviane Araujo (11-4)

Viviane Araujo's most recent effort inside the octagon saw her drop a unanimous decision to Alexa Grasso, who is co-headling UFC 285 opposite flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. The Brazilian is 3-3 in her last six bouts, all of which ended in unanimous decision.

Amanda Ribas (10-3)

Amanda Ribas suffered a split-decision loss against Katlyn Chookagian in her last trip to the octagon in May last year. The 29-year-old is 1-2 in her last three bouts and will be determined to fight her way back into the win column this Saturday.

Julian Marquez (9-3)

Julian Marquez is coming off a devastating first-round knockout loss against Gregory Rodrigues back in June 2022. 'The Cuban Missile Crisis' is 2-2 in his last four UFC appearances.

Marc-André Barriault (14-6-1NC)

Marc-André Barriault has struggled for consistency since joining the UFC ranks back in 2019. The Canadian is also 2-2 in his last four bouts and was finished in his latest outing, falling to a third-round technical submission at the hands of Anthony Hernandez.
