UFC card tonight: UFC 306 main card fighters

Here is a list of all the main card fights for this weekend's UFC 306 event:

Sean O'Malley (c) vs. Merab Dvalishvili (bantamweight)

Alexa Grasso (c) vs. Valentina Shevchenko (women's flyweight)

Brian Ortega vs. Diego Lopes (featherweight)

Daniel Zellhuber vs. Esteban Ribovics (lightweight)

Ronaldo Rodríguez vs. Ode Osbourne (flyweight)

Sean O’Malley (18-1-1NC)

Sean O’Malley scored a stunning second-round knockout win over Dvalishvili’s teammate, Aljamain Sterling at UFC 292 to capture the featherweight gold. 'Sugar' outpointed former rival Marlon Vera in his subsequent outing at UFC 299, avenging the sole loss of his professional career.

O'Malley will look to make a second successful title defense when he faces a streaking opponent at the Sphere.

Merab Dvalishvili (17-4)

Merab Dvalishvili is riding a 10-fight win streak into his first title opportunity on Saturday. 'The Machine' has outworked former champions in his last three fights and is fresh off a unanimous decision victory over Henry Cejudo at UFC 298 in February.

Alexa Grasso (16-3-1D)

Alexa Grasso captured the flyweight title with a shocking fourth-round submission victory over Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285. The Mexican managed to retain the title when she battled Shevchenko to a split draw at the inaugural Noche UFC event last September.

The champ will be looking for a more definitive defense when she meets her longtime rival for a third time inside the octagon.

Valentina Shevchenko (23-4-1D)

Valentina Shevchenko had a nine-fight win streak snapped in her title fight loss to Grasso back in March 2023. While 'Bullet' failed to get the title back in the rematch, she will be determined to reclaim it in a big way when she meets Grasso in a trilogy matchup on Saturday.

Brian Ortega (16-3-1NC)

Brian Ortega came up short in his title bid against then-champ Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 266. 'T-City' endured another setback in a TKO loss to Yair Rodriguez due to a shoulder injury in July 2022.

However, the Californian avenged that loss by submitting Rodriguez in a rematch earlier this year and will hope to keep the momentum going when he faces divisional standout Diego Lopes.

Diego Lopes (25-6)

Diego Lopes made a big impression in his UFC debut back in May 2023, stepping in on short notice against top-ranked contender Movsar Evloev. Despite the odds, Lopes nearly pulled off an upset, coming close to submitting the unbeaten Russian before dropping a decision.

The Brazilian proved he belonged at the highest level as he went on to score four consecutive wins, including three first-round finishes. The 29-year-old most recently outpointed Dan Ige at UFC 303 in June after Ortega pulled out from their scheduled bout.

Daniel Zellhuber (15-1)

Daniel Zellhuber dropped a unanimous decision to Trey Ogden in his octagon debut but strung together three consecutive wins thereafter. The Mexican most recently outpointed Francisco Prado in February.

Esteban Ribovics (13-1)

Much like his opponent, Esteban Ribovics came up short in his promotional debut but rebounded with back-to-back victories. In his latest outing in May, the Argentinian viciously knocked out Terrance McKinney in the first round.

Ronaldo Rodríguez (16-2)

Ronaldo Rodríguez impressed in his UFC debut in February, submitting Denys Bondar in the second round. 'Lazy Boy' picked up his sixth straight victory with that performance.

Ode Osbourne (12-7-1NC)

Ode Osbourne will hope to get back on track after getting submitted in his last two fights. 'The Jamaican Sensation' was most recently dispatched by Jafel Filho in March.

UFC card tonight: UFC 306 preliminary card fighters

Here is a list of all the prelim card fights for this weekend's UFC 306 event:

Irene Aldana vs. Norma Dumont (women's bantamweight)

Ignacio Bahamondes vs. Manuel Torres (lightweight)

Yazmin Jauregui vs. Ketlen Souza (women's strawweight)

Edgar Chairez vs. Joshua Van (flyweight)

Irene Aldana (15-7)

Irene Aldana suffered a unanimous decision loss to Amanda Nunes in their title fight at UFC 289. However, the Mexican bounced back by edging out Karol Rosa six months later at UFC 296 in December.

Norma Dumont (11-2)

Norma Dumont is on a four-fight win streak, with all decision victories. In her latest trip to the octagon, the Brazilian edged out Germaine de Randamie in April.

Ignacio Bahamondes (15-5)

Ignacio Bahamondes dropped a unanimous decision to Ludovit Klein in August 2023 but rebounded with a vicious first-round knockout of Christos Giagos earlier this year. 'La Jaula' is currently 4-2 under the UFC banner.

Manuel Torres (15-2)

Manuel Torres is riding a six-fight win streak, with all first-round finishes. The Mexican's last three victories came inside the UFC octagon. In his latest outing in February, 'El Loco' submitted Chris Duncan.

Yazmin Jauregui (11-1)

Yazmin Jauregui edged out Sam Hughes in February to rebound from her vicious TKO loss to Denise Gomes at UFC 290. The Mexican is 3-1 in the UFC.

Ketlen Souza (14-4)

Ketlen Souza was submitted by Karine Silva in her octagon debut but outpointed Marnic Mann to pick up her first promotional victory. The Brazilian will hope to improve her record to 2-1 in the octagon when she faces Yazmin Jauregui.

Edgar Chairez (11-5-1NC)

Edgar Chairez's collision course with Daniel da Silva ended in a no-contest due to a premature stoppage last September. However, 'Puro Chicali' got into the win column with a first-round submission win over Daniel da Silva in February.

Joshua Van (10-2)

Joshua Van had an eight-fight win streak snapped in a knockout loss to Charles Johnson in July. 'The Fearless' is set to make a quick turnaround for this matchup as he looks to get back on track.
