Stephen Fulton is set to compete on the undercard of Canelo Alvarez vs. Edgar Berlanga, which is scheduled for this Saturday. He takes on Carlos Castro in a preliminary bout set for 10, three-minute rounds. No world title will be on the line, however, both men will be determined to win.
For Fulton, it is his chance to bounce back from a crushing knockout loss to Japanese power-puncher Naoya Inoue on July 25, 2023. After more than a year away from the ring, the American pugilist will look to remind fans of his excellence in 'The Sweet Science' come fight night.
But just who will he be reminding fans of? Who, at his core, is Fulton as both a fighter and a man?

Who is Stephen Fulton?
Stephen Fulton, a junior, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 17, 1994. He was raised in the northern parts of the city in government-subsidized housing along with three sister and a single mother. Unfortunately, his father was absent for the first decade of his life.
However, in a twist of fortune, his father entered his life and introduced him to the sport of boxing. This allowed Fulton to channel his frustration from losing his friends to gang violence. As the years progressed, Fulton found tremendous success in boxing.
Outside of 'The Sweet Science,' the boxer has been in a relationship with Tiffany Jubilee for some time now. Moreover, he also has a young son named Abdul Muqtadir, who remains his only child.
Stephen Fulton's boxing career explored
For most of his career, Stephen Fulton has been untouchable. He made his professional boxing debut back in 2014, and went on to win 21 consecutive fights, during which he fought at featherweight and eventually captured WBO and WBC super bantamweight gold to become a unified champion in the division.

Unfortunately, his undefeated run came to a disastrous halt in the form of pound-for-pound great Naoya Inoue, who starched the American in round 8 of their encounter. Thus, his record is currently 21-1. Now, he looks to rebound from that loss by taking on Carlos Castro.
To do so, he will rely on the expertise of his longtime trainer Wahid Rahim, who has worked with him since his amateur boxing days.
