Maintaining an undefeated professional record, particularly in combat sports, is something only the very best are capable of. Even the most versatile athletes have lost at some point in their careers, and former boxing champion Terri Harper no exception.

Who has Terri Harper lost to?

Terri Harper started her professional boxing career in November 2017 when she defeated Monika Antonik. In her early days, she scored 11 straight victories and 1 draw. She went on to capture and defend the lightweight and super featherweight titles in the process.

On Nov. 13, 2021, the English boxer was faced with the toughest challenger of her title reign when she fought Alycia Baumgardner. Harper had little to offer the surging American in terms of resistance and lost the bout via fourth-round TKO. Baumgardner proved to be a serious problem for the division and went on to become the undisputed champion by defeating Mikaela Mayer and Elhem Mekhaled over the next year.

That said, Harper got back in the win column and captured the WBA and IBO female super welterweight titles. Her second professional boxing defeat came in March 2024 when WBO female welterweight champion Sandy Ryan handed her a fourth-round TKO (RTD) loss to secure the second defense of her title. After the loss, Harper now holds a 14-2-2 professional boxing record.

Terri Harper set to return to the boxing ring as a title challenger

Terri Harper bounced back from her first professional boxing loss with a convincing win over Tamila Belen Abellaneda. Now, she will have the opportunity to challenge WBO female lightweight champion Rhiannon Dixon on Sept. 28.

The fight was initially expected to take place on Aug. 24 on the Jack Catterall vs. Regis Prograis undercard. However, it was postponed to September after Catterall had to pull out due to an injury. As per the time of writing, Harper is a +320 underdog against the -450 favorite Dixon. However, these odds are subject to change.
