Gervonta Davis, one of the world's best pound-for-pound boxers right now, has shared a harsh reflection on the recently held Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight. The former heavyweight champion faced Paul on Nov. 15 in a 10-round professionally sanctioned event broadcast live on Netflix.

It was Tyson's first professional bout since 2005. While there was interest in seeing the Hall of Fame boxer return to the ring, the 31-year age gap between 'Iron Mike' and his opponent caused much controversy.

The former champion entered the ring at 58 years old and his age began to show as the Brooklyn native struggled to move with the same explosiveness of old.

Tyson suffered a unanimous decision defeat in his return to boxing, after which Davis took to X to label Paul as a "clown" for fighting an icon of the sport. During a recent interview with Fight Hub TV, he was asked to expand on those comments, where Davis said:

"Because why was [Paul] even wanting to fight him? And who told Mike Tyson to fight anyway?"

When asked if the fight may have tarnished Tyson's legacy, 'Tank' said:

"Yeah, they did. They definitely did."

Jake Paul fires back after Gervonta Davis threatens to "beat the brakes" off him

Jake Paul's victory over Mike Tyson did not sit well with numerous combat sports athletes across the globe. Most notably, Gervonta Davis, who sent a fiery message to 'The Problem Child' following the event.

'Tank' has been one of boxing's biggest names for the past five years, and Paul's eagerness to face a bonafide legend of the sport who was many years past his prime angered Davis immensely.

Following the event, he shared a post on his Instagram story which was reposted to X by @BronGotGame. 'Tank' wrote:

"To that bozo who shared the ring with Mike, you a whole bozo for this and you didn't get the job done... One more thing, I'ma beat the brakes off Jake when I catch em... Upper cut, jab, jab, left hook, upper cut, hook. Watch."

Paul was informed of Davis' post during his post-fight press conference after the Tyson fight, and he said:

"I'd be down. Let's run it, I'd be super super down... Is there a height limit in boxing?"
