Tresean Gore is a UFC middleweight with a promotional record of 1-2.

Gore made his professional MMA debut in March 2018, defeating Prince Ellerbe by split decision at NFC 105. Three months later, ‘Mr. Vicious’ returned to NFC and secured a first-round doctor’s stoppage against L.J. Jones. After winning his third fight with another first-round finish against Christian Echols, he was invited to compete on 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) Season 29.

Going into TUF 29, Gore was respected for his raw potential but also somewhat underestimated because of his lack of experience. The middleweight prospect quickly made a name for himself by winning the regular season fights against Ryder Newman and Gilbert Urbina. As a result, ‘Mr. Vicious’ advanced to the finals against Bryan Battle.

Unfortunately for Gore, he suffered a knee injury and had to withdraw from the TUF finale, leading to Battle defeating Urbina to win the UFC contract. ‘Pooh Bear’ received undeserved backlash as some fans believed ‘Mr. Vicious’ would have been the TUF champion if he wasn’t injured.

Despite not winning TUF, Gore was signed to the UFC and made his promotional debut against Battle to settle the controversy. ‘Pooh Bear’ silenced the doubters and secured a unanimous decision win. In July 2022, ‘Mr. Vicious’ returned for his second UFC fight, suffering a loss against Cody Brundage by first-round knockout.

Gore’s back was against the wall after losing his first two UFC appearances. The 28-year-old arguably saved his job with a second-round highlight-reel submission against Josh Fremd in October 2022. In July, ‘Mr. Vicious’ will return for his fourth fight under the UFC banner against Bo Nickal, the biggest prospect in MMA.

Tresean Gore will take on Bo Nickal at UFC 290

On July 8, Bo Nickal returns for his second UFC fight after making a statement with a first-round submission in his promotional debut. The former Penn State wrestler has been matched up against Tresean Gore, who has shown holes in his game but still has the potential to evolve into a UFC mainstay.

Nickal vs. Gore goes down inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, at UFC 290. The main event will be a featherweight unification matchup between reigning champion Alexander Volkanovski and interim title holder Yair Rodriguez. The rest of the fight card is yet to be finalized.
