Danielle Kelly is ready to return to the ONE Championship Circle and start her bid back to the throneroom she once ruled from.

The former ONE atomweight submission grappling world champion expressed on Instagram her desire to once again step on the mat and possibly secure a rematch against Mayssa Bastos for her golden belt.

Kelly ran on an unbeaten four-fight streak until she relinquished her strap to Bastos this past August at ONE Fight Night 24.

Kelly, one of the best female submission grappling artists of this generation, sat on an unbeaten 3-0-1 record in her ONE Championship tenure before she facing off Bastos in Bangkok.

The American star settled for a draw against Japanese women's MMA pioneer Mei Yamaguchi at ONE X in her ONE Championship debut. She then racked up three straight wins against Sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova, former ONE women's strawweight MMA world title contender Ayaka Miura, and IBJJF world champion Jessa Khan.

Kelly, however, fell in her first world title defense when Bastos secured a closely contested decision win over her this past August.

Danielle Kelly wants an immediate rematch against Mayssa Basots over the atomweight submission grappling world title

Danielle Kelly is determined to reclaim the ONE atomweight submission grappling world title and wants it as soon as possible.

Mere days after she suffered her first loss in ONE Championship, Kelly took to Instagram to ask for a rematch against Mayssa Bastos for the strap. She wrote:

"Bad day at work but I proved once again I belong at the top. Years ago, I would’ve shut down. Today went head to head against the number one 115lb grappler who’s beaten everyone in the weight class. I may not agree but I’ll be ready for a rematch and will improve. Thank you everyone I’m gonna enjoy the rest of my summer and get back to work."
