Boxing fans could see Tyson Fury back in the ring sooner than expected.
According to reports, 'The Gypsy King' has entered talks with undefeated Australian heavyweight Demsey McKean for a potential faceoff Down Under this August.
After potential summer bouts against Oleksandr Usyk and Zhang Zhilei fell through, McKean has emerged as an excellent tune-up fight opponent. The 32-year-old Australian stands at 6'6, three inches shorter than Fury, and has a record of 22-0.
Journalist Michael Benson, who quoted The Herald Sun, reported the news on Twitter. Confirming that McKean's manager has been in touch with Fury's camp about a potential title fight in August, he wrote:

"Tyson Fury vs Demsey McKean is now in talks, according to McKean's manager Angelo Di Carlo who has said he's held talks with Fury's camp about a potential WBC heavyweight world title fight in August in Australia."
Tyson Fury has not stepped into the squared ring since his trilogy bout against Derek Chisora in December last year. The Englishman was later heavily linked to a super-fight against Oleksandr Usyk.
While the two heavyweight champions were initially booked to fight in April, the fight failed to materialize due to some financial disputes. However, it seems the bout is back on for a mega event in Saudi Arabia in December, which could feature Anthony Joshua vs. Deontay Wilder on the same night as Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk.
Tyson Fury next fight: 'The Gypsy King' reportedly scouting stadiums for Australian boxing debut
All signs point to Tyson Fury's boxing debut in Australia sometime this year. The Englishman is currently in Australia to support his friend and teammate Joseph Parker who will face Faiga Opelu in Melbourne on Wednesday.
According to The Sun, 'The Gypsy King' claimed in a recent interview that he will also be scouting potential arenas for a future showdown. He stated:
"I'm looking to do a fight here so I will be going up and down the country looking at different stadiums over the next few days. I'm 100% serious."
Tyson Fury also claimed he wanted to stay active this year and the next. Hinting at a clash against rival Oleksandr Usyk this year, he continued:
"I'm looking to fight some big fights this year and next year. We have an undisputed fight on the horizon for all the belts against Oleksandr Usyk... There's also other big fights, so we're working on some possibilities at the moment."
The heavyweight champion has made it abundantly clear that he wants to fight this summer. With Usyk potentially facing Danie Dubois next as the WBA mandatory title defense, Fury could face Demsey McKean in Australia.
