The UFC went down to the AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas for a fight night this weekend. The main-event of the night featured a clash between elite bantamweights Cory Sandhagen and Marlon Vera.
Sandhagen came out as the early aggresor, taking 'Chito' down and spending most of the first round in top control. 'Sandman' started gaining more momentum as the fight progressed, using his immense size advantage to pick apart the Ecuadorian from distance.
While Vera unleashed an urgent flurry in the closing seconds of the fight, it clearly wasn't enough. However, much to the ire of UFC fans and pundits, Sandhagen only managed to rope in a split decision win despite his dominant showing.

UFC women's bantamweight veterans and former training partners Holly Holm and Yana Santos (previously Kunitskaya) clashed in the co-main event of the night. 'The Preacher's Daughter' walked away with a dominant unanimous decision win after pummelling Santos from side control for pretty much throughout the fight.
Featherweight veteran Nate Landwehr scored a slick submission win over Austin Lingo on the main-card.
Meanwhile, women's flyweight contender Maycee Barber edged out a closely contested split decision win over Andrea Lee.
After a last-minute cancelation of a stacked bantamweight matchup between Alex Perez and Manel Kape, the main-card action started off with Daniel Pineda's second-round submission win over Tucker Lutz.
