Popular podcaster and MMA commentator Joe Rogan and his long-time friend and fellow comedian Tom Segura discussed the ongoing US presidential race and its candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.

One key talking point is when Rogan applauded Harris' team, as he colorfully pointed out, they did a "f*cking amazing job" at running the vice president's campaign. He even compared it to jiu-jitsu.

Rogan said:

"Before I say anything. I just want to say, whoever's helping her [Harris], whoever's coaching her, whoever's the puppet master running the strings, [gestures chef's kiss] you did a f**king amazing job. They did an amazing job from the moment [Joe] Biden drops out...Whatever they're doing, whoever's writing those speeches, getting her delivering, coaching her. She's nailing it."

Recorded on Sept. 11, the conversation happened when the presidential debate was just fresh. Describing how Harris may have gotten under Trump's skin, Rogan said:

"Last night, to me, when I was like 'Oh my god this is jiu-jitsu', where she was like, 'If you go to his rallies, his crowds are boring, they're tired, they leave early. [Rogan then mimics Donald Trump's voice] 'My crowds are the best crowds! I have the number one crowd!' He couldn't help himself!"

Joe Rogan on US presidential debate: "The difference was who was better prepared"

Speaking further on the debate, Joe Rogan and Tom Segura analyzed what the difference is with the current verbal tussles of the current presidential race as compared to the others in the past.

Rogan said (13:59):

"The difference in that debate was not a difference in, who's gonna have better policies [or] who's gonna be better for the country. The difference in the debate, in my opinion, was who was better prepared. She [Harris] was way better prepared. And even when it came to answering tough questions, instead of answering, she would just say things that she believes and they sounded real good. And that's the sound bite."

In a world of memes, clips, screenshots, and sound bites, one memorable line by a politician can get make or break their political career. The recent US presidential debate was full of memorable lines by both candidates. Rogan may have a point with his analysis.
