It looks like Ryan Garcia's brother Sean has unfortunately taken a note from 'KingRy's' playbook and has weighed in 3.2 pounds over the lightweight limit for his upcoming fight. Naturally, boxing fans have been enraged by the fighter's utter unprofessionalism.
For context, 'KingRy' had tipped the scales 3.2 pounds overweight for his super lightweight clash against Devin Haney in April, which left him ineligible to win Haney's WBC title even with a win.
Adding to the fighter perils, his one-year suspension from boxing owing to a positive drug test and his more recent string of hate speech has made him fall out of favor with fight fans.
Now, with his brother's trouble at the scales, the boxing community has absolutely lost its cool. As reports of the weight miss started making the rounds on social media, enraged fight fans made sure to have a field day at Sean's expense.

In a sarcastic comment, @howboxinworks opined:
"Guess it runs in the family. Sean Garcia has a chance to carry his family name in boxing if he can pull off the upset tomorrow."
@RedCacheREAL chimed in:
"Classic cheating racist family."

Garcia will take on Amado Vargas tomorrow on the undercard of Jorge Masvidal vs. Nate Diaz. The 23-year-old holds an undefeated record of 7-0-1. In his most recent outing, he claimed a unanimous decision win over Joseph Johnson.
Surprisingly, however, 'KingRy' doesn't seem to condemn his brother's weight loss; in fact, he approves of it.
Ryan Garcia lauds his brother for weight miss
While missing weight is deemed utterly unprofessional in combat sports, Ryan Garcia seems to weirdly support it.
'KingRy's' mental health has seemly taken a severe hit in recent times. From his questionable pre-fight antics in the lead-up to the clash with Devin Haney to his recent blatant hate speech fueled by racial and religious undertones, the 25-year-old's opinions are far from credible.
However, in a recent post on X, the pugilistic superstar commended his brother for missing weight for his upcoming fight. Reacting to a report of the weight miss, Garcia wrote:
"Good move Sean. Kick his a** bro. I won't be there, but you know I love you."
