Known for his misogynistic views, Andrew Tate once also gave a bigoted take on Islam - a religion that the kickboxer-turned-media influencer embraced prior to his arrest in 2022.
In an interview with Piers Morgan prior to his arrest, Andrew Tate addressed certain comments he made about his newly found faith and its members. In a rare instance, Tate was seen apologizing to Muslims for his past comments. Here's what Tate allegedly said:
"ISIS are the real Muslims, because ISIS do exactly what the book says - kill everyone who is not a Muslim and chop people's heads off and set them on fire, and be raging lunatics. But, all the Muslims go [like], 'They're not Muslims'. [They are] because I've read the book and ignore those parts. Well, you're not a f*****g Muslim because you're ignoring the f*****g book. "

Tate, who was de-plaformed in 2022, was visibly flustered by Piers Morgan's recollection of his off-handed comments on the world's second largest religion. Here's what 'Cobra' said in response to his past comments:
"That's an interesting point that you've raised, because I am now Islamic. And it's funny because I used to be an atheist and when you're an atheist, you believe that religion causes more problems than it fixes. And then you come to a realization and you start to learn the truth [about] yourself and the truth of God. And you realize that religion is the cure for most of the problems in the world, and 'Godlessness' is the [actual] problem in the world. So, that is something that I will apologize for and admit I was wrong about because I was atheistic, and now as a Muslim I understand that's absolutely not the case."
"The world is not black and white, the world is gray" - Andrew Tate on praising the Taliban
Piers Morgan didn't let Andrew Tate off the hook easily, even though the latter managed to maintain his composure and put his foot down.
Tate converted to Islam in 2022, and even though he previously slammed the militant group ISIS, he didn't have harsh things to say about the Afghanistan-based insurgent group, i.e. the Taliban. Andrew Tate is alleged to have praised the Taliban on one occasion, which Piers Morgan brought up.
In 2021, the Taliban staged a coup against former president Ashraf Ghani's government following the withdrawal of American troops from the region. What followed was a ban on women in universities, jobs and in public.
Here's how Tate responded to Morgan calling him out for praising the Taliban:
"The world is not black and white, the world is gray. It's very difficult to sit make black and white assumptions about anything. To sit and say that the Taliban are completely and utterly evil, we are completely and utterly - as you just discussed with the moral high ground. I believe that the Taliban bring law and order [to Afghanistan]. It may not be the law and order that we like."
