Andrew Tate was arrested along with his brother Tristan on the December 29, 2022. The pair were initially meant to be held for 24 hours, but the criminal court extended that to 30 days. The court has continued to grant 30-day extensions every month until the present day.
The pair were arrested following suspicions that they were involved in organized crime and human trafficking, as well as employing up to 75 women in his webcam business, who have accused Tate of kidnapping and sexual assault.
Andrew Tate and his brother appeared in court on January 10 to appeal against the decision to extend their detention. The appeal was denied, and several other appeals that have been made since have all been turned down as well.
According to a recent BBC News article, the pair will spend at least another 30 days in jail. The brothers' lawyer stated that no new evidence was provided during a hearing last week Wednesday, and the pair deny any wrongdoing.

"Each night I dream of freedom. And then I open my eyes. And I'm in the same familiar jail cell. I take a few minutes to swallow my disappointment. and begin my morning push-ups. Maybe tomorrow, I'll wake up somewhere else. I have not lost hope."
