Belal Muhammad, the newly crowned UFC welterweight champion, recently revealed that he frequents Nina-Marie Daniele's social media accounts to feel better about his number of detractors. Ahead of UFC 304, he took part in a pre-fight sit-down with her.

During the course of the interview, Daniele jokingly asked 'Remember the Name' who he felt had more 'haters' between the two of them. Muhammad found her question interesting, prompting him to reveal how often he finds himself reading through the comment section on her social media profiles.

"That's very interesting. Like, sometimes, when I'm feeling bad about myself, I go read your comments, cause I'm like, if I feel bad, I gotta read yours to like, scratch out my mind. 'How does she put up with this?'"

Ultimately, Muhammad won over a chunk of his detractors over the weekend when he dethroned Leon Edwards as UFC welterweight champion in the latter's own backyard at UFC 304. In doing so, he also avenged a prior no-contest that saw him get his eye poked, which led to the aforementioned result.

Muhammad had been chasing a rematch since then but was frequently dismissed by Edwards, who was in hot pursuit of welterweight gold. When the two men finally crossed swords, there seemed to be genuine animosity from Muhammad, who felt slighted by how openly Edwards had ignored him and his efforts.

Thus, his unanimous decision win was likely his most satisfying victory, least of all because it was a championship bout.
