Bryce Mitchell addressed his past differences with Joe Rogan following his win against Kron Gracie at UFC 310. The outspoken featherweight used the post-fight interview to apologize to Rogan to mark a rare moment of reconciliation for the often-polarizing fighter.

Mitchell’s dominance was on full display against Gracie, who struggled to mount any significant offence in the fight. Mitchell displayed superior striking and grappling defense by nullifying Gracie’s submission attempts before delivering a devastating knockout finish early in the third round. However, it was his post-fight interaction with Rogan that caught the attention of MMA fans.

Bryce Mitchell apologizes to Joe Rogan after UFC 310

Bryce Mitchell's apology to Rogan stemmed from his comments in the past criticizing the UFC color commentator’s dismissal of flat-Earth theories. A staunch believer in the idea that the Earth is a plane or disk, Mitchell had previously lambasted Rogan for spreading misinformation and vowed to confront him directly, claiming that the 57-year-old's opinions undermine the truth of creationism.

While Rogan frequently discusses conspiracy theories on his podcast, he firmly rejects flat Earth claims, often debating proponents like Eddie Bravo. The founder of 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu claimed in a podcast episode with Rogan that global organizations like NASA and the European Space Agency perpetuated the idea of a round Earth to control the masses. Rogan challenged Bravo, questioning his constant reliance on conspiracies.

Despite his earlier stance about the UFC color commentator, Mitchell took a different path at UFC 310. Apologizing directly to Rogan, he admitted his prior comments were out of line and reaffirmed his respect for the podcaster. Speaking in the post-fight interview, Mitchell said:

"I called you stupid before because of something that you said and you know that you're not stupid. I know you're not stupid and I wanted to apologize to your face like a man and tell you I love you. There's only one person that's gonna make American great again and that's Jesus Christ."

Bryce Mitchell talks about Kron Gracie's strategy at UFC 310

Bryce Mitchell reflected on Kron Gracie's approach at UFC 310 in an interview with Megan Olivi, noting that he expected his opponent to force the guard. However, he was surprised by the intensity with which Gracie executed it.

Mitchell explained that when facing Gracie, there’s no choice but to either run or engage in a close fight and running was not his preferred option. Speaking to Olivi in an interview with ESPN MMA, Mitchell said:

"I didn’t think that he would actually force the guard that heavily. I mean, it’s like when you go with him, you either have to run or tangle up. I mean, there’s just no other option. There’s a certain point which I don’t want to run the whole fight. I damn near tripped on a cage because I was running for a minute or two, and it’s like I just don’t want to run the whole time.”
