One of the most prominent personalities to back Walsh is UFC CEO Dana White, who met the 23-year-old through veteran boxing promoter Tom Loeffler.
Over the past few years, White has shown Walsh immense love and even gave him spots on UFC Fight Pass after meeting him in Las Vegas. White also regularly uses his social media platforms to promote the Irishman and has missed no opportunities to praise his boxing skills and tenacity.
Given that White has taken a shine to Walsh, many have wondered what the UFC supremo sees in the young pugilist. During a recent interview with Aaron Bronsteter for Sportsnet, Walsh shared some insight as to why White was so impressed with him and said:

"You know, it's the way I fight. I have the same mentality as the UFC, it's like, the best fight the best. There's no easy route. In boxing, there's a lot of different ways you can go to avoid difficult fights, but I don't wanna do that. I want to fight the best fighters and be the best fighter in the world by beating the best fighters in the world. That's why Dana likes me, and that's why he's excited about me as a boxer." Callum Walsh explains Dana White's role in his next fight taking place in Dublin
Callum Walsh recently opened up about how Dana White contributed to his fight against Przemyslaw Runowski being scheduled to take place in Dublin. The Irishman revealed that White wanted the event to go down in Ireland and pushed for it to happen.
In an interview with Irish Boxing, Walsh opened up about how the event came about and how White pushed for it to happen in Dublin. Pointing out that White has been to the Irish city with Conor McGregor, Walsh said:
"I was always going to come home and fight. It was just a matter of when, and it was Dana that really pushed for it. It was Dana that really wanted it, and it's finally here... And Dana was just pushing for it to be in Dublin because it's there... he's been here with Conor."
