Dana White has made it clear that he believes Jon Jones is the greatest mixed martial artist of all-time.

The UFC CEO recently shared the rest of his Mount Rushmore, listing the four fighters whom he believes are the greatest in the history of the sport - with two of those names listed for contributions outside of the octagon.

Speaking to ESPN MMA, the promotional frontman stated:

"You got to go with Jon Jones. You'd have to go with Ronda Rousey. Women would not be fighting in the UFC if it wasn't for her. You would have to put [Georges St-Pierre] in there and absolutely, positively Conor McGregor. He elevated and changed the game globally."

Fans shared their reaction to the UFC CEO's list. @nftkoosh claimed they are not shocked with him including Jones:

"Why am i not surprised about Jones being on that list. Missing legends for sure."

@FranchiseTuaa noted that the heavyweight champion's inclusion should hardly come as a surprise:

"you shouldn’t be surprised the greatest mixed martial artist the sport has ever seen is on the list.."

@PlatinumOmar labeled the promotional frontman as a joke for excluding Khabib Nurmagomedov, claiming that he is a better fit of the criteria of changing the game globally:

"Dana is a freaking joke. Khabib is the one who really changed the game and showed the world how effective his grappling and wresting is in MMA much much more than striking. Dana is biased and very unfair."

@SlipsterOG believes the list overall is solid:

"It honestly is a solid list. No matter what, you have to have Conor, Rhonda, and Jon on there. I feel like there’s arguments to be made on if the 4th should be DJ, GSP, Royce Gracie, Anderson Silva, and possibly even Khabib."

@Shahabs suggested that the list is the fighters who made White the most money:

"basically the ones who made him the most money."

Dana White reacts to Demetrious Johnson's retirement

Dana White and Demetrious Johnson have not always publicly seen eye to eye since the latter was shockingly traded to ONE Championship for Ben Askren in 2018 - marking the first major trade in the history of mixed martial arts.

Despite their past differences, the UFC CEO praised 'Mighty Mouse' following his announcement that he will retire from the sport.

Speaking to John Morgan of Grind City Media, the promotional frontman stated:

"Yeah, I didn't know that and yeah, listen, if you could go back to when he was here, I was defending him from the fans. Who's defended Demetrious Johnson more than me? Yeah, no, good for him. You know, incredible career he had and yeah, I've never had a problem with Demetrious Johnson."

While he did not include him in his Mt. Rushmore of mixed martial arts, White did note that Johnson will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.

The once long-reigning flyweight champion holds the record for most consecutive title defenses in UFC history and is tied with Jon Jones for the most title defenses.
