Boxing superstar Ryan Garcia could potentially return to action at a RIZIN event. 'KingRy' was recently suspended by the New York State Athletic Commission after he tested positive for Ostarine after his fight with Devin Haney went down.

MMA Mania, however, has reported that the 25-year-old could possibly be a part of the RIZIN event that is set to take place on New Year's Eve. Although no official announcement has been made, reports suggest Garcia's fight could be an exhibition match.

According to reports, Garcia has been granted permission by Golden Boy Promotions to compete in the exhibition match, but the major obstacle in the way is the NYSAC ban that will remain in place until April 20, 2025.

So, it remains to be seen whether Garcia will be able to compete on the RIZIN New Year's Eve card without any repercussions from the NYSAC.

Garcia was last seen in action on April 2024 when he locked horns against Devin Haney. The event was held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The WBC super lightweight title was on the stake for the fight, but Garcia came in overweight by 3.2 pounds, making him ineligible to win the belt.

The bout proved to be a competitive affair that went the 12-round distance. In the end, 'KingRy' was declared the winner by a majority decision. The three judges scored the bout 114-110, 115-109 and 112-112 in favor of Garcia. The result was later overturned to a no-contest after the 25-year-old tested positive for Ostarine.

Ryan Garcia has been expelled by World Boxing Council

Ryan Garcia recently made headlines when he made an appearance on an X-Space session. 'KingRy' made several racist and hateful comments that did not sit well with many listeners.

Mauricio Sulaiman, who is the president of the World Boxing Council aka WBC, uploaded a post on social media declaring the expulsion of Garcia from the organization. The post read:

"Exercising my authority as president of the WBC, I am hereby expelling Ryan Garcia from any activity with our organization. We reject any form of discrimination. I fear for Ryan's well-being as he has declined multiple attempts for our help with mental health and substance abuse."
