PFL star Renan Ferreira seemingly made an insensitive remark about the death of Francis Ngannou's son Kobe during their recent press conference. Fight fans are now convinced that the Brazilian is in store for retribution when he meets 'The Predator' in the cage.
Ngannou lost his 15-month-old son in April, and the former UFC heavyweight champion has yet to fight since the tragedy. He is now primed for an MMA return. The 37-year-old will face the 2023 PFL heavyweight champion Ferreira at PFL Super Fights: Battle of Giants on Oct.19.
On Thursday, the fighters did a press conference in Washington, during which 'The Predator' broke down while opening up about the difficulties he'd been facing in coping with the loss of his child. However, Ferreira seemingly referenced Ngannou's recent troubles while engaging in trash talk, saying via a translator:
"Francis has been going through a tough year in his life, but the toughest challenge in his life and in this year is going to be me. I'm going to be the biggest problem of his year right now."

It must be noted that several Brazilian fighters and publications have since clarified that Ferreira wasn't referring to the death of Ngannou's son and that his comments were lost in translation.
