In search of putting an end to his two-fight losing streak, William Knight stepped into the octagon after almost an entire year away to face Marcin Prachnio. However, his incredibly poor showing has brought him some unwanted attention.
The 31-year-old burst onto the UFC scene on the back of a huge first-round knockout win in Dana White's Contender Series. He continued performing as expected, winning three of his first four in the octagon and scoring a knockout on the then 7-2 prospect Fabio Cherant, but his form inside the cage quickly deteriorated.
In a post on social media, William Knight gave his response to his forgettable outing against Marcin Prachnio last time out. He insisted that fans have been sending him death threats in the aftermath of the fight on February 18:
"At the end of the day, I went out there and froze up. I didn't do my part [and] I lost the fight... Some of y'all wanted me to win, some of y'all betted on me, I understand, I completely get it. In life, human beings aren't perfect, but I'm taking ownership of my actions because I didn't so sh*t. I stood there, I froze, and I take full responsibility... All these crazy a** inboxes of threats, all these inboxes of disrespect, I get it. Y'all have a right to be angry. I've read messages, y'all threatening my life, y'all talking crazy saying I don't belong in the UFC."

While it wasn't the best performance from 'Knightmare', his challenger Marcin Prachnio has too come under fire for his lenient approach to the fight as he failed to completely take advantage of his unwilling opponent's actions.

What actually happened in William Knight's last fight?
Despite being on a bad run of form, William Knight was gifted a main card slot alongside fellow powerhouse Marcin Prachnio. The matchup was expected to produce fireworks, but what followed was an unforgettably bad affair.
Aside from a large number of leg kicks from the Pole, the two light heavyweights failed to produce anything exciting throughout, leaving the fans in attendance and at home desperate for some action.
According to the official UFC website, Knight landed just eight strikes for the entire 15-minute clash. Meanwhile, 63 of Prachnio's 79 total strikes landed on the legs of his opponent.
