Jonathan Haggerty knows that Nico Carrillo will inevitably clash with the new ONE bantamweight Muay Thai king Superlek Kiatmoo9.
After losing his belt to the Thai superstar at ONE 168: Denver last month, the ONE bantamweight kickboxing kingpin believes that his fellow Englishman rightfully deserves the right to challenge Superlek.
However, Haggerty also believes that 'The Kicking Machine' will most likely win, and for that sole reason, he wishes Carrillo the best of luck.
'The General' told Sky Sports MMA Club Podcast on whether he would watch any of ONE Championship's cards that will potentially host the fight between Superlek and Carrillo:

"I’m not that bitter, if I’m honest. But you know what, he’s going to obviously have a head start because he’s going to learn from my mistakes and not to rush in."
He added:
"He’s going to do what he has to do and not rush in. Yeah, wish him the best."
And despite Jonathan Haggerty had traded unpleasantries with Carrillo in the past, he will most likely focus on defending his 145-pound kickboxing belt before going after either 'The King of The North' or Superlek.
Jonathan Haggerty admits he can handle online trolls criticizing his performance
As a former two-sport world champion and still the reigning and undisputed ONE bantamweight kickboxing king, Jonathan Haggerty knows how to deal with critics who quickly wrote him off after his defeat to Superlek at ONE 168: Denver.
This confidence came from his years of fighting all top-tier challengers in the promotion, where he repeatedly proved himself as one of the best in the game.
Thus, in the same podcast episode, 'The General' said:
"I'm quite good at it, to be fair [handling trolls]. I can laugh it off. Like I said, I've been at the top before. I've done the hard fights. I've proved myself time and time again."
